Tablecloth Tapestry

This project was created for a contemporary art performance dinner, where attendees ate and performed over paintings of themselves. The figures lay scattered holding fruit, while real fruit is also dispersed all over the table. The tapestry blends transparent paint with patterned fabric (reminiscent of picnic blankets), playing with texture and surface. The painting becomes a sort of furniture, taking on a new role through performance and unconventional display.
